  Founder of SDCC passes away at 76

Sheldon Dorf, the founder of the best networking hub for artists, San Diego Comic Con, freaking passes away... We owe him so much. If it weren't for SDCC SatelliteSoda wouldn't be where we are now.

  DC Halloween Special '09

DCU Halloween Special 2009 is on sale now just in time for Halloween and features the color work of our own Dylan McCrae. Dylan provided colors for the Robin story, "Cavity Search", written by Derek Fridolfs with art by Dustin Nguyen.

  Pre-Vol. 6 Scott Pilgrim Cast Poster

With colours by our own Dylan McCrae a parody/homage of Gem Fighter/Pocket Fighter, Capcom, 1997, it's a Scott Pilgrim poster at 18" x 24" premiering at PAX West. The colours in true Dylan style are simple and wonderful.

  Version 3 and a New Artbook

We've changed and evolved since the inception of SatelliteSoda, and yet we managed to survive. One thing remains the same though, that spirit that pulls us together to form a force comparable to Voltron is alive and kicking. It's that same spirit that brings us to a new chapter in SatelliteSoda.

  AQUA LEUNG OUT NOW!!!

For those who didn't get the memo, AQUA LEUNG is a brand new graphic novel by Mark Smith and Paul Maybury and it's out now. I have yet to read it, but I have seen a ridiculous amount of this book as it was being put together and it's all kinds of awesome. I cannot wait to read it tomorrow, especially after seeing the amazing amount of positive reviews online.

  Cryptic Happenings!!!

SatelliteSoda is proud to announce that we are, yet again, giving peeps the opportunity to have their work see print via open battle. Thanks to the talented and devilishly handsome man known as Benjamin Roman, you could see your work printed in the upcoming The Cryptics issue 3, due to hit shelves through Image Comics in December.

  SatelliteSoda Sketchbook Swap

For the past couple of months on the SatelliteSoda forums, forum member Eminkey has been organizing a fun little group activity known as a Sketchbook Swap, inspired by the funky people over at EnterVoid. A Sketchbook Swap is basically like pass the parcel in reverse with groups formed by various SatelliteSoda forum members from all over the world.

  Uglybogus Gets A Facelift!!!

Uglybogus, home to SatelliteSoda co-founder Shane Long and his buddy Rob Stanton, has recently recieved a ridiculously minty fresh facelift. Why?! Why not!

Uglybogus have big plans for 2007 and need to look their best. Said plans include Uglybogus screenprinted clothing and a team up with Insect Skateboards to produce hand made boards with awesome limited edition screenprinted Uglybogus graphics.

  Aqua Conquerors SatelliteSoda!!!

The always awesome Mark Smith and his accomplice Paul Maybury are giving SatelliteSoda forumgoer's the opportunity, to have their work see print in their forthcoming graphic novel, Aqua The Conqueror, via open battle. All you have to do to put yourself in the running is simply register on the SatelliteSoda forums, read through the posting guidelines and introduce yourself, make your way over to the Art Battles area, than provide the most kickass pin-up that you can physically and mentally muster.

  Monk and the Big Reward

The DVD part of issue 9 of Imagine FX will feature the work of Fabian "Monk" Schlaga. In the FXpose section of the DVD you can find Fabian's jaw droppingly awesome Lords of Badfunk image.Imagine FX issue 9 went on sale August 29th in the UK, it was said shortly afterwards the rest of Europe and the States would recieve the issue. Now is shortly afterwards, so check it out!

  SatelliteSoda at SDCC 2006 Day 2

Day two was a success!!!

A total of 25 SatelliteSoda Art Books, 26 SatelliteSoda Prints, 13 Kill Zombies Vol.1, and 5 Ugly bogus prints were sold. Enrique and Monk's collab print proved most popular for the majority of the day, however, Nick (Mouse) and Monk's collab print caught a temendous amount of steam late in the day.

  SatelliteSoda at SDCC 2006 Day 1

Igo, Shane and Nick (Mouse) have set up shop at SDCC 2006. Judging from photo's recieved via Ken (Gkaiou) Paterson, the boys are doing us proud! I can see money on the table and one very funky banner! So things look to be going awesome! Not much else to say at the moment, but our plans of world domination through art seem to be going ahead nicely!

  The Cryptic Coloring of Monk

The color stylings of our very own Fabian "Monk" Schlaga are now available for the masses. If you wish to grab yourself a bit of funky Monk, duck into your local comic shop and grab a copy of the super spooktacular The Cryptics.
