***DAILY-DRAW FEBRUARY DISCUSSION THREAD: FINISHED!!!!!***

It's February, folks! Time to get off that comfy petard and draw!

The "February Draw-Every-Day Challenge" from Sketch Tavern has now spread, like every good disease, and landed at Satellite Soda with a new name:

Daily-Draw February!!!

The Rules:
1. For the month of February, every contestant must draw and post at least one image a day every single day of the month. That's 28 days.
2. You can post more than 1 image each day, but they don't 'carry over'. (so if you post 2 drawings on Monday, you still have to post at least one on Tuesday)
3. You can post sketches, finished art, works-in-progress, comic strips, anything, as long as it was done that day.
4. If you miss a day, there isn't TOO much shame in that, but there is HUGE shame (huge!) in posting 'old' sketches as your daily entry. The point of this challenge is to DRAW every day (not merely to post something each day), so the drawings MUST be new. A new stick-man is better than an old masterpiece.
5. Crappy sketches are infinitely better than no sketches at all!

And for the truly Hardcore:
We're gonna have a scoreboard keeping track of who posted on each day and who didn't throughout the month, like this:

Person A: 1--2--3--4--5--
Person B: 1--2------4--5--
Person C: 1------3--4--5--

Being on the scoreboard is optional. If you DO want to be on the scoreboard, though, you have to post your images before Midnight every day. If you post late by even a minute, it will count as a "miss" for that day. (If Midnight isn't a good daily deadline for you, you can also use a different time of day as your daily deadline.) We'll get the scoreboard set up soon; if you'd like to be on it, just send me a pm or say so in this thread.

So yeah! If you feel you've got the stones, just set up a thread in this February section and, on February 1st, get posting! Welcome to February!

Haha, well, welcome aboard Fennewalde. Fenn is a former Sketch Taverner too, for anybody who can't see through those mock-innocent questions of his.

But to answer the questions: We'll use this thread as a Sign-Up thread and then on February 1st we'll all start up our own February threads in this sub-forum and post our first images in our own threads. And then we just go from there, and try to keep it going.

And of course, yes, telling friends is awesome.

Wednesday: Awesome to have you aboard! The more of us who do this, the more motivational and creative energy there is to draw upon, heh. So if you have any questions or anything, feel free to voice 'em. The Feb Challenge is a personal challenge type of thing, so when we get going, you can post pretty much anything in your thread: sketches, finished pieces, works-in-progress, anything - as long as it was worked on that day.

Neil: Haha, and hi to you too. Neil's another former Sketch Taverner - so yeah, it's nice to see you on a forum again, sir. Start limbering up that wrist...your're gonna need it come February. (for drawing)

So that's 4 of us: Fenn, Wednesday, Neil and I. It's gonna be a good month (a hard month...but a good one). And yeah, if you guys know of anybody who might want to party down with a buncha radical daily-arty folk for a month, heh, by all means, send 'em here; 'cause it looks like the February Challenge is on at Satellite Soda. :!:
