So, we had this film jam at school for 5 days ( 4 days working ) and we got directors from all over the place. My director was Tod Polson, and this is the short we made with him.
I hope it's allright to post movies here aswell as the backgrounds I did.
I did these backgrounds, helped out on the storyboard and did some color cripts for some backgrounds (mostly the ones I did except for number 2 and 5 )
So, the movie is finished a long time ago, so nothing will change, but I would still love to hear some feedback from you of what could have been changed, and what you might have liked. I had fun during the whole project, but not much sleep ^^
It's always awesome to see animations on the forums man... wish we had more of it.
The backgrounds are simple and nice, seems to fit with how the overall animations are. Im sure if you pushed them too much more they might clash a bit with the rest of the look.
Any more of this kind of stuff coming up? You do any animation yourself?

thanks man. it was a blast making! there will be another film jam at my school next year I'm sure. I have currently been studying for a 3D animation and modeling bachelor, but quickly found out that I really wanna do 2D animation. so I talked with my teachers at school and since at the second year of character animation they will be learning maya and such, and I had the technical drawing down nice enough that I can jump over to the 2D course after the summer. so then I will learn how to animate :D I have done some animation before, but there are a couple of fundemental stuff I don't know, hehe. thats my "life" story :P I might start posting my animation stuff and pencil tests here on the forum when that time comes.

Shikaru, NICE stuff! Yeah, 2D is my favorite, but in todays present animation job market - learning 3D seems to be a necessity! Of course, like oil painting, 2D will never die off. BTW, I noticed that animation people seem to use Vimeo, and not a lot of Youtube. Is there any specific reason?

Thanks Matt! Actually I have no idea, but it seems that vimeo is a bit more "serious" place to videos like that? I'm not sure. I just created that account a couple of days ago! haha.
