Ok guys and gals, some of you have heard the good news but I got us 3 rooms (2 beds per room) at the Omni, which you may or may not know, is RIGHT by the convention center...

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!!!

Not sure if this fully registers for some of you for how awesome this is, but it's a block away. No cab, sleeping in, bathrooms we can use DURING the con, drop-off station... and it's THE FREKAING OMNI!

New deal though, we have to help set up and breakdown the Sideshow booth, which will be a couple of hours on Wednesday, and a couple of hours Sunday.

We also have it for 5 nights, Wednesday thru Sunday night. $150 a night, per room, for 3 rooms, for 5 days, totals $2250. Split that 10 ways and it's gonna be roughly $225 a head for the entire stay. This might get adjusted based on who actually helps set up and break down the booth at Sideshow. That or the people who dont pitch in have to buy someone dinner or booze or something. Some way, this'll even out, and Ill keep track of who's pulling their weight and who totally didnt give a shit and gets kicked in the jaw.

So, we applied, and we won, a BOOTH! So SS is definitely at SDCC 2010.

That said, we got the green light on early hotel reservations too that go live for us on Thursday.

I wanted to get a head count on anyone who plans on going that plans on crashing with us.

I have a month to plan on this, because our early window closes mid-December, but I wanna get on this ASAP.

So, who's going? Who wants to crash with us?

All I know is that all the 4-day passes are already sold out. Ive never had to register pro before, but Id say do it now (if you can) and if you're not able to now, check in as often as possible until you can.

I have no idea how many exhibitor passes I can get from us obtaining a booth, but Id rather not have people rely on that and use that more as a safety net.

I did put in my early hotel reservation request for two twin rooms (exact same room we had last year, just two of them) and we'll be finding out if we got it sometime late February or early March.

I'm going for sure but unsure if I am staying with Rasheed or not. I'll let ya know as soon as I found out.

well with the pro pass i do believe you can take one guest with all the same benifits. last year you could but you have to give all the info. getting a pro pass is stupid, you have to send them hella shit.

aslo the sdcc site fuckign sucks, can some one link the pro reg link if there is one? it seems ot keep going to the 09 one like an idiot.

I dunno, pro passes are pretty easy as long as you have the requirements. It took me like 5 minutes to fill it out and send it off.

The three source requirements don't really require any scale either. It can be anything from illustrations/writing in a local paper to doing a full fledged comic book. You might be able to use one big publication for all three too. I am not too sure about this though.

hrmm yea, sending things is where i fail, envelopes and stamps. But know how they handle credits, do i have to send pic? i got a tv show and 3 launched games and a couple books how does one get that info out.

Nah I don't think you have to send in samples. I'm pretty sure registration for pro 2010 isn't up yet anyways. I usually do it around April/May.
