We don't have frats, only 'student clubs', think it's about the same, except they're not "guys only" and they don't live in a 'frat house'

Not everyone likes them though, not because of not getting in, anyone who wants to get shitfaced drunk and wants to demean themselves in front of an idiot in a dirty lab coat can join them

not sure how the frat system works though, are they all about getting shitfaced too?

I think this is just 2 sides of the same coin though...

I've been at plenty of bars in the university district and had fights picked with em and my freinds for no fucking reason whatsoever by douchebag frat boys, so while saying that ALL frats suck is a poor generalization, there is some truth to it.

That said, my little brother is in a frat, and when I went to stay with him for a week I couldnt have met a cooler house of people, ZERO douchebags, and i think they had somthing like 60 guys living in the house (house isnt the correct diea though, it was more like a hotel ahha).

So yeah, I think it goes both ways...

very true, there are i guess decent frats but the ones that party are like the idea of most dorms, they are for kids to meet other kids. otherwise youd be doing your won shit at home. its all the intent on the frat that matters. but most frats ive been too are fulled with stupid knuckles heads and what IS the intent of them. the smart cats stay home and do their work. but for the most part frats are pointless, i mean whats the point of them. like a gang for school? cant make friends in class join a frat!? its seems like its for a good way to socialize at school, i guess, but do you need to be "down" with a frat in order to do that? i never got the point of official groups to socialize in. but then again ive been spoiled with living in a huge city.

anyone one who wants to party in a frat and doesn't want to join heres how!

step one: just have at least 60% WHITE friends with you or your crew and say that you know steve or a bill (any common white name will do) and you'll be let in. Bonues points if you use words like "dude" "no waaay" "wait....what?" "bitchin" or "stoked"

step two: crash the party and snatch all the brew and take a couple ladies with you

step three: go to the next frat and repeat step one through three.

Fellas I have terrible news that's going to choke you all up inside.

The majority of the guys in my fraternity didn't make their required GPA of 2.5 and thus brought our entire frat's average past that point. We've been put on social probation which means that we aren't allowed to have organized parties with sororities or drunkenly participate in the various social events around campus. We suspect that this is Blue's fault. And he's dead.

This being said. I'm quitting Phi Kappa Tau. I'll let you all have a moment to silently play a little montage in your heads of the good times we had. Maybe play that montage to "Living on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi.
