Im running out the door but wanted to post something incase I forgot to when I got back.... HOLY FAN ART BATMAN!

Really solid work overall man. Good characters (male and female) backgrounds, layouts, colors, everything is just really solid and you'll only get better with the more you do.

Only thing right off the bat I could see yah pushing is your posing and energy. It struck me most with the 300 piece, and the spiderman/Venom piece. The 300 piece just looks posed, there's no energy to his emotion, it just looks like a standing man with a mouth open. And with Spiderman, the pose is nearly there, but it's missing "UMPH!" Something a bit more, think of a keyframe in an animation, not an inbetween.

Solid work man, and welcome to the forums, I'll take a gander look-see at it again later post-beach biking.

dude your stuff is killer. your style is perfected and fresh. im with igo on the motion thing, the spiderman peices look really stiff. i mean.. i cant do it.. so i shouldnt be talking.. on the group picture, i like how you put all these action heroes/villians then theres a ferby in the corner... hahahah...... and maybe its just me.. but bruce lee's abs look a little weird.

over all this stuff is rad as hell.

By Ferby you probably mean Gizmo from Gremlins.

I'm a huge fan of the Futurama picture you've got here. As far as critiques go on the cereal and pajamas pinup the red background in the bottom right corner is way too much. Everything else on the page is colour in generally cool colours so the red is really throwing off the balance I think.

Hey its the cereal and pajama king no?

Your eyes remind me of www.thenota.deviantart.com 's

The only crit I have (after looking one) is that you share a similar color palette with your pieces, whether they are intended to be indeed fan art or not, trying creating certain lighting renditions - that or lets see your imagination roam free, get some original characters out there.

Great work :D

some great stuff here.

sometimes your colors feel a little muddled, a lack of color theory but then sometimes it works wonderfully. especially on the mononoke piece. what a wonderful piece.

i want to see more!

i think it's so cool to see dragonball fanart in this style, which you seem to have down pretty well. i do think you should definately work on your drapery though.

I don't think calvin and hobbes suits your style at all though

i would love to see more play with gesture, it looks as though youve found your nitch style wise, but i find alot of the poses to look stiff and repeated. the force used in these really dont match the style, it could be pushed so much further. kudos on the cleanness though.

ok some original art! This old little man has a seemingly regular bazar in London, but in the night, at the back room, it becomes an opium somking room, a place of encounter for undesirable people

i would not buy consumer goods from that opium smoking freakshow!

kidding.

anyway. cool stuff, it definitely has that kind of current pop feel to it. my only real issue i guess is the way you have the guys portrait just kind of floating there. i think it would add a lot to it's stability and placement if you were to at least indicate his shoulders, if not render all the way down to his clavicles. also, the bottom of his neck looks like you just kind of forgot about it. meh.

This stuff is great dude. Really fun style with really good color choices for the most part. A lot of this stuff is very stylized so it's hard to crit certain parts of it, but in general some of your anatomy/faces could use some tightening up and the drapery in parts is so stylized that it becomes abstract. At this point it's more things that need to be tweaked more so than fixed

Javas your stuff is cool! Really enjoy your interpretations of certain characters. Your stuff may not work as well on titles that take themselves too seriously, but any titles that are stylized fun would suit you great. What comes to mind is HeroBear and Kid, Teen Titans, Ben10...ooooohhh I'd love to see ya do some Ben10. My only complaint if any is that sometimes your colors do get a little muddy and that can distract from the overall visual composition of the piece. While your depth is always on point, sometimes it's hard to find a focal point within your group shots and pages.

I don't regularly watch Dragonball Z but I did recognize Goku as Goku. Great work all around man, keep posting would LOVE to see more!!

Decent Stuff. I agree with bryan the every on that the colors for some of the pieces is muddled, and that you could push the poses on some things and some of the anatomy, but overall you are a capable artist.

Overall, I don't like your artwork though. Maybe it's just not appealing to me stylistically, but it ultimately reminds me of this recent derivative of being influenced by both Anime and American Comics, and ending up in a place like people like Skottie Young and Humberto Ramos. Just not appealing.

My biggest gripe being that 95% of your characters have the same face. Same eyes, nose, mouth. Your calvin and hobbes, futurama, and dragon ball stuff certainly doesn't contain any of the charm that the originals have, and make them so lovable in the first place.

I know to you, this is also a stylistic choice, but why is there usually that line that runs perpendicular to the bridge of the nose on most of your characters? I never get why some people do that, and think it looks good. I certainly disagree with it.

Oh well, again, you are a capable artist, and can obviously draw, and use the computer to color most of it, but also feels kind of typical to me.

No problemo buddy. Its just a matter of taste, you like it or you dont.

I dont think that all the characters look the same, only the anime versions, because in their original style, they look all so similar, and if I change the way they construct their faces they would barely be recognizable. I love doing faces with different shapes, noses and all.

I dont think the colors are muddled, I always play with low saturated colors and not intensive pallettes, but as always, its a matter of taste, cause I dont like suppastrong colors, anyway Im still a rookie artist and I need to grow much more.

I personally dont feel myself influenced by humberto or skottie, cause I have never read any comic book from them or seen many drawings. I just draw how it comes. My main influences are european comic books and animation films.

thanks a bunch for your opinion brudda! ^_^

YAY VENOM! it always pleases me when people remember to put the white squares on the back of his hands :-D

Everything looks really nice and slick, the only thing that bugs me is on the kiki? is that it? the delivery witch. her under pants are really wrinkly like shes got granny panties that are to big.

Really impressive stuff.
Great line weight, great colors, good compositions, pretty much a home run.
And being that prolific is really impressive.

I guess my only qualm is 'why so much fanart?'. I appreciate it, and I think its cool to play homage to really great stuff but what about your own stuff? Your own characters?

On that note, that Nausicaa piece is supreme. And Leela looks really swell too.

Oh man oh man oh man im loving those (tribute?) pieces! One thing, the only thing in can think of that i didnt quite like was the way the images seem quite flat (although that may just be your style) perhaps more saturation for the foreground character/objects? you have a sweet style though dude

I really like what you've posted thus far, has nice European animated type vibe to it all.

Only suggestions which I feel could better your work.

- Vary your facial expressions and faces in general, most seem to have the same face type/head shape, change it up.
- Colour choices, your actual colouring is top notch, I really like it, but it would be nice to see you change it up with the actual colours themselves. Branch out and experiment, go nuts.
-Backgrounds, I love that you actually draw them, but it would be nice to see more backgrounds without the filters. I really like the Princess Mononoke one, shows a lot of potential, as does the island you recently posted.

Keep at it dude!

thanks for the advices dudes!

About the similar faces, I think it onlyhappens with the anime versions, because in their original style, they look all so similar, and if I change the way they construct their faces they would barely be recognizable. I love doing faces with different shapes, noses and all.
U are totally right about colors, I need more experimentation and Im working in it. Also, Im a lazy bastard but now Im working on my own comic book, wich will be full of nice full colored BGs (like that one in Mononoke)

Eskimo, wich resolution would be fine for ya?

Also, Homage to the cool character Navis, amazingly drawn by the great "Jose Luis Munuera"

And this He-Man piece, done really quick for a jam

Augh... you have such a beautiful, playful style!!
I really love your Ghibli pieces. The Nausicaa one in particular I thought I was very nicely composed. I'm curious as to what else you're capable of. Do you take many different directions or use any other media?
