I've been in tons of hotels with couches / futons / whatever. Especially in the states, it really ain't that uncommon. Hell, I was in one just last week, Holiday Inn Express I believe.

I was going for 4 days. I could probably be convinced to stay longer. My birthday is July 31st.

The first time I went (actually both times) I was there every freaking day, all day.

Being there as a walker (the first time and total newb to the experience) I only felt Sunday dragging, and that's just ebcause everything's coming to an end and all the pros and sellers are aching to get home to go to work the next day.

Every day there totally changes, from panels, to who's signing where, to who you meet and wanna hang out. Every night theres a different thing going on from parties to drawing jams to random drunkard nights on the street.

If it's your first time, try to take advantage of the whole time, but it's safe to plan for a ride back mid-day Sunday. You can leave your chek out shit at the motel in a locker, and bail the CC early and hit the road. Wednesday night is preview night and totally the best time to take advantage of either:
A) getting exclusive crap or
B) meeting artists because everyone's busy buying exclusive crap

Also, Jonah, you should be handing out portfolios and resumes, if you're done/near done with school. So that's just another thing to tack onto the list of "Shit to do."

First year I was just walking and handing out portfolios and filled up every day waking hour of every day. Second time was even more fucking nuts because we had the table, I walked around, and handed out portfolios.

The place is fucking huge, tons of crap to do, I never get bored, but Shane did way faster and easier but that's because he's a picky-ass bastard.

Faz, depending on who you're aiming at giving them out to. It's always cool if you run into a pro artist, ask em to take a peek, and if they act like they really like it you can offer them to keep it. I did that a few times, and Ive met a few of them years later and they actually remembered me before I even introduced myself. Just a good way to network and get your name out there.

So yah, if you can afford it, the more the better and the left overs can be sent out through mail to other companies. I even ended up giving out more than one to the same company because a different person would want one.

I only needed 30 and still had left overs, but it depends on how much of a whore you wanna be. 50 would be great if you can afford it, but I really doubt you'd need that many. But like with alcohol it's better to have left overs than not enough.

Yeah...It was fun i guess, but because I wasn't really there to try and get a job, and the crowd wasnt really into the stuff I was selling, and there were only a few artists I wanted to meet, it was kind of boring. But, you know it was still fun, and the cool people I did meet were totally worth getting through the boring-ness, and getting to hang out with nick and ken and the rest of the SS guys was soooo rad.

The nights were alot of fun, I wish we had done more bar hopping, and I wish we had stayed away from that lame ass hotel drawing jam. DO NOT GO TO DRAWING JAMS, they are stupid boring wastes of time and you could be out socializing and meeting cool people instead.

I'm sure drawing jams are awesome, if you know the people involved. But if I'm going to meet most of them for the first time in my life then I would much rather spend some time getting acquainted to them by talking about as much randomly stupid shit as possible.

At least I don't run the risk of vomiting in a street corner trashcan while having simulated sodomy performed on me... AGAIN. Enjoy the drinkahol, folks. I'll enjoy my summer honey ale up on the rooftop in solitude and join you in spirit.

I got decently pissed drunk at that one drawing jam, and from there commenced to roaming the streets totally drunk with two friends of mine whilst stumbling into a Halo Rave Party... WOW!

Drawing jams are cool though, but that last one we went to was pretty fucking lame. I just gota show up with more alcohol in my system and make more of a notable scene is all.

It ended like a few minutes afterwards... basically after the whole first initial "WTF!?!" moment, even though it lasted the whole night...

Before tax, its going to be $600 total. You could chip in $150 or buy all of my alcohol. I'm 5'8" and weigh around 140lbs. We'll be there for like 4 days. Roll the dice, Dave. Which is going to cost more. :D

Ive rolled up my own damn tab for more than $100 at one place because the prices are ridiculous, but then again you are a complete fucking pussy.... hrm...

So thats $150 for all 4 days for each of us? If it's just $150 Im sticking to that because even a 7 year old girl can drink more than $38 a night worth of alcohol, and I dont even know if you're a day drunk.
