Nice studies man, digging the looseness of the lines.

As for the latest, the color choices seem a little jarring in my opinion, not sure if that was intentional or what. Judging from the background and some of the shading on the kid it seems like you were trying to set up a mood. But those strong yellows (as well as the color of the ground) kinda contradict that, so I'm not really sure what you were going for.

Thanks, really enjoying doing the studies (and not just because it's an excuse to look at girls)

The colours in the final piece were a bit of an afterthought, didn't really think too much about it.
Wanted to test colouring without adding darker colours, so it's just a low opacity/flow brush with the 'base' colours over the nights sky

Didn't really turn out the way I wanted it, but that's what tests are for :)
I was indeed aiming for a dark mood, moonlit, Finn as the lone bro.

Not alot of time today, so cutting it short with a quick one :)

Some practice on rendering shapes using shadows - starter out as Cap, but it's ending up as Kid Missile :)

I'll probably restart this, start out with low flow/opacity settings instead of full colour, those edges are kinda throwing me off

reference folders are the best, I just set my desktop background to the folder and have it change every minute-5 minutes-whatever and sketch what pops up

guess you could set it to less than that too for quick gesture sketches
