Soooo....here we go. some rough sketches to start with. One down, 28 to go.

I'm thinking of doing a painting with Link. I did a bunch of other looser sketches before this one to get the pose right, but Photoshop was acting funny and I ended up accidentally deleting them. I might do some more over the next few days.

Here's Ganon for you, Igo. I kinda want to flesh these out more, but didn't have enough time in one sitting. Can I go back and work on the same drawings or does it have to be a completely new drawing everyday?

I believe you are allowed to continue work on pictures and post them. Ganon's face looks great so far, I'm excited to see what it looks like more finished up :)

Yah, Gannon is looking rad man. So nice seeing a more realistic/subtle take on him, not that War Machine over-load crap. Too much of that shit lately, totally digging it man.

Thanks y'all. Yeah I agree, Igo, all that "war machine over-load crap" is a good way of describing it. I tend to like the more subtle approach, with a little more depth to the characters. But this is actually a little farther out than I'm used to, even. I don;t work with a lot of super fantastic type stuff. Always wanted to...but nonetheless. I need to do more. But I'll probably have to get back into these one's later. I gotz a good friend in town and have to entertain, so I'm just gonna do something short and sweet for today, as I think much of the night will be filled with debauchery, maybe I'll draw on a bar napkin or something. Must> Get> Done!

Holy crap I barely made that one with two minutes to spare. I was so busy painting my kitchen cabinets today that I almost forgot sketching untill I looked at the clock and it was after 11:30. Thanks for the comments before, guys. I'll get back to that Zelda piece soon.

aaaaaaand back to the picture of the two again. The perspective was all wrong...and still is...but I'll keep working on it. This way makes Ganon more intimidating as well. To be continued...

watching the process on these is cool. you should definitely work the austere poses you've set up in this image - it's kind of like a 'captured in time' sort of feel, like a mosaic or a frieze or something. also like the posing on link - gonna eyeball that for some tests myself :D

Just doing some line work today. Makes me wish I new how to use Adobe Illustrator.

I Finally gave Link a sword and shield. Betchya thought he was just gonna be standing there like an ass. Also worked on Zelda's shoulders, which took me way longer than it should have because I don't have any reference. Arrrggghhh. Hopefully I'm almost done with this part of the process, just need to clean up some lines before doing a color comp.

Freaking awesome with the Mucha-style Zelda. I have a long-standing desire to do a bunch of nouveau character pieces for Game of Thrones but ugggh, all that highly-patterned stuff is just SO time consuming. Awesome that you're just going for it, keep it up!
