Hahaha! I love those two skeletons. LOVE the coloring on the pole-vaulting girl. Impressed by the variety you've been using throughout the month so far. :D

Didn't have a lot of time today. So I took a thumbnail sketch I made for a web comic concept a while ago, and put some lines on it to see how it would look.
Had some great ideas for that comic. Problem though, is that I've been in a proper positive mood.
And it's kind of hard to create an agonizing and ironic comic, when you're happy and satisfied with life :)

Took the space girl sketch and tried something new, painting on one layer.
I'm always scared that I mess things up, and can't go back while trying to work like that.
But surprisingly I liked this work method, and it's almost worry free.
If you mess it up, you just paint over it until it's good enough.
Enjoyed myself a lot working on this. Gonna continue to do so and add more rendering, and eventually some color!

Started on a vector piece in Flash. Gonna be Kabuki fanart.
Wanna try to get some nice shadow play and short focal point effect in it.

Added a mask with some shading (vector gradient shading for the win!)
The mask will be in a different position in the final piece, don't want the mask to block off her pretty face :)

Think I'll make a valentines piece out of this.
Though it will be a bit macabre :S

Finished the vector Kabuki drawing in Flash!
Forgot how much fun it is to try and get smooth rendering with gradients and such withing vector art.
Maybe I'll code the rose petals falling down in ActionScript since it is drawn in Flash anyway.
I'll leave that for a day I'm not able to draw ;)

Umm... what does that mean? Haha, I'm curious. I always just thought "flash" was for videos or something. Does this mean it's possible to post interactive flash games (and videos) on the forum here?

Oh - and great picture!

EDIT: It looks like your picture isn't showing up in the gallery. If you're wondering why, I think it's because we haven't switched the gallery over to 'only' using [ddf2k12] images yet. So I'm guessing the gallery is trying to put your [flash] picture in the gallery but just can't figure out how (the gallery is programmed to only take the 'first' image in a post if an artist posts multiple images in a post, so I think it's just looking at the [flash] picture and ignoring your second one). When we switch it over to only accepting [ddf2k12] images, your image should work, I think...

EDIT #2: It looks like you already figured that out before I posted my edit, heh, so yeah... ignore my 1st edit, haha.

@CogNoman: Yeah I tried it out and it worked. Don't know about games though. Since you've got sandbox securities, corssdomain files, and extra assets etc. (Flash Dev talk :D)
It seems the gallery picked up the SWF file i.s.o. the preview JPG with the "ddf2k12" tag.
Think that the automated gallery is still configured on the first http url found and not the specified "ddf2k12" tag.

edit: Thanks! Hope it does 2 ;) Don't know how you're feeding the page, if it's trough RSS it's going to be a bit tricky. If it's trough the actual SQL/Database it'll probably be ok.

Trying out the response of the new Wacom drivers in Sketchbook Pro.
No delay anymore which is great! It was probably caused by some alien distortion technology.

So let me get this straight... that picture there... the changes in the image are actually based on algorithm of some sort? So it's not just a pre-recorded sequence of images, like an animated .gif?

DUDE. The possibilities for this are INSANE. If you can add variety like this in to a static image, like.... you could have an actual picture (with characters and environment) and then have some sort of animated, non-repeating element in there too. Like... you could have clouds moving through the sky that aren't just a repeated pattern, or you could draw a road with automatically generated vehicles driving along it, or maybe even like, automatically generated characters walking around. If there was enough variety in there, heck, you could pretty much have an automatically generated TV show!
Heh heh, I mean, these ideas are so baby-ish -- things could probably be pushed even further, but that's because this picture here has literally blown my brain back so hard that my brain has reverted in to a prior incarnation of itself as a means of self-defense. I literally have the brain of a 4-year old right now.

I don't know why this is so insane to me. I mean I knew Flash could do cool things, but... maybe it's because I'm seeing it on a forum? Man. I'm gonna go roll around on the floor and beg my roommate to change my diaper.

OH MY GOD

Everybody! You need to see this!! Come to this thread! Look!!

I tried pasting my own image URLs in to that link bar - and sure enough, it worked! It warped my images in to some sort of crazy alien 5-dimensional kaleidoscopic mental distortions!
I feel like I've transcended to another state of being. I can see all angles now. What was once merely a 2-dimensional image is now a crazy radiating fractal of coloured atoms to me. Is this... is this what it is like to be inside RVDW's mind?
How are you able to do simple things like walk around, let alone type out programs like this? All of reality would just be a mass of coloured, moving dots.... I suppose you just get used to navigating the total chaos? I guess it can't be any worse than navigating these boards, aheh heh heh......(juuust kidding)....

Okay: to anybody who tries this - after you get bored of putting your own images in to the link (heh heh), try putting: http://cognoman.com/pics/febb/pics/cogfeb12.png in there, heh. I gotta say, it's gorgeous!
