Since the release of "Batman Gotham Nights" I have not been able to stop thinking about how amazing a Green Lantern Corps anime would be. An intergalactic police force of 7,200 plus beings, each armed with a power ring that is not only a weapon, but able to grant the bearer incredible power limited only by their willpower.

When imagining it I can not help but think of similarities with the mecha based anime I grew up with as a kid, Voltron, Robotech, Gundam, Tekkaman Blade, Giant Robo. I loved those growing up.

The task for this jam will be reinventing the Green Lantern Corps characters as Gundam. If you are feeling a little evil you can try your hand at reinventing the Sinestro Corps characters as Zaku. If your feeling extremely motivated you can do both.

i really see no evidence why the lanterns should have mechas but it was boring at the shop so i made this up. "GK´D" seems to be an oldschool GL and he looked silly enough to make him into a Gundam-like being....



i had no idea how to color it --- geez...

well i did this :P could have given it more work but i'm sick so that makes it hard to really give it my all

I want to play! Someone needs to berate me incessantly until I finish this. I got about 75% of the way done with my Megaman Zero Jam entry and just stopped.

Hey guys I love big robots so I had to do something :)
Here is my Gundam Lantern. I chose Sath Varn. I like him, being the absolute soldier guy, I thought his personality would fit well.

These turned out rad! Good work by everyone except Foster. Hang your head in shame.
