Jam #2

Early this week saw the passing of an amazing spirit through unfortunate circumstance.

Jeremy Earnshaw was one of the coolest and most charismatic people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was an amazing young gentlemen who was fortunate enough to get to know and become friends with through the comic shop I work at and comics in general. I say friends as he, and his amazing girlfriend, were so much more than just average regular customers and that fact hit me pretty hard today when I opened the shop to an extremely overwhelming wall of silence. I absolutely loved seeing them both every Friday afternoon and/or Saturday morning when I opened the shop, and just talking comics or whatever else popped up.

Jeremy hasn't left my thoughts all this week and I have been turning over and over in my mind what I could do for him, to repay him for all the awesome memories he has left with both myself and my good friend and fellow comic shop guy James. Early this morning the pieces all fell into place for me.

He was a big Avengers fan, loved them, loved Secret Invasion and I'm told he "nearly peed his pants" when they hinted towards an Avengers movie in Hulk and of course Iron Man before it.

Therefore as but a small repayment for all the good memories he has left me, I am dedicating this one to Jeremy.

The task this week will be to draw the classic/founding Avengers line up of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Giant-Man/Ant-Man and Wasp. Feel free to draw them in whichever incarnation of their character and feel free to completely redesign them. Just try to stick to that classic line up and have lots of fun. As I'm sure Jeremy will be checking this all out and want to see some awesome pics in between breaks from skating with Jesus.

I've also informed Jeremy's girlfriend who gave me her blessing for this jam, pretty sure "that would be sick go for it" counts, and she too will be checking in whenever possible. So keep it awesome people and spread the word so we can make this the most awesome jam EVER for Jeremy.

The other thing is, if it was bi-weekly I'd totally forget about the jams altogether haha

For the really good jams, you can just extend them a week like jam 1. I'm still thinking about what to do for the first jam. But I definitely want to do something for this one.

I updated it, wasnt feeling Iron Mans hand in there. A co-worker gave me the original idea to put it in, but the more I looked at it the more I felt it took away from the mood.
